TRADES WELCOME!
Here's a genuine Paris-made Selmer Mark VI alto from 1964, one of the highly sought-after years of the most celebrated saxophone ever built.
This horn just received a complete clean, oil and adjust, and most of the pads were replaced, so it's ready to play. It plays beautifully, with a quick, light action and the warm, focused, complex tone that made the Mark VI the standard for professional saxophonists.
Highlights:
Serial #115305 (1964), Made in France
Matching serial number on the neck
Gold lacquer finish with well-defined traditional Selmer bell engraving
Light, smooth key action with a free-blowing, even scale
Mother-of-pearl key touches
Includes a vintage case with purple velvet interior in excellent condition
The finish shows the honest wear you'd expect on a horn of this age, including light finish wear and some scratches, but the engraving is crisp and the horn is mechanically excellent. Please see the photos for detail.
This one is ready for the stage, the studio or a lifetime in your collection.
