If you haven't tried a Conn New Wonder II - often called a CHU BERRY horn - you've been missing out. This one will turned 100 years old in 2025!

This Conn New Wonder II alto, serial number 156481, is a silver-plated 1925 example in excellent condition. It plays like new and has that big, singing Conn sound players chase from this era.

No dents, original-style micro-tuner neck and keywork that feels tight and responsive under the fingers. Cosmetically and mechanically, it’s been carefully kept: the silver plate shows honest vintage character without the usual abuse, and it’s ready for the practice room, studio or stage.

What you’re getting is a true Jazz Age professional alto from one of Conn’s most respected lines. The New Wonder II is known for its powerful core, flexibility and that classic American warmth - and this one delivers. Serial 156481 places it firmly in the mid-1920s production, with the micro-tuner neck collectors and players both look for on these horns.
