102 Years Old and Plays Like New: 1924 Conn New Wonder Soprano Sax, Silver Plated

This Conn New Wonder soprano, serial number M141268, is a straight, silver-plated 1924 example in excellent condition (Low Pitch, A=440). It recently received an $1800 professional overhaul using black Roo pads and plays like new, with that big, singing Conn sound players chase from this era.

There are no dents and the keywork feels tight and responsive under the fingers. It's been carefully kept, cosmetically and mechanically, and the silver plate is bright and clean without the usual abuse. It's ready for the practice room, studio or stage. This is a true Jazz Age professional soprano from one of Conn's most respected lines, and it delivers the powerful core, flexibility and classic American warmth the New Wonder is known for.
