TRADES WELCOME!
This 4075 serial-numbered 1923 Model 22 soprano saxophone has been adjusted by our trusted technician and plays on pads that seal nicely and won't need to be replaced for a long time.
Selmer's Modele 22 was Selmer’s first mass-produced professional saxophone. More on the Modele 22 is available on Youtube.
According to Selmer historian, Douglas Phifer:
Selmer 4071 was built before the start of the Selmer Paris archive records (which started at serial number 5000) but what I can tell you is that up to serial number 4000, the Sopranos only had a range to high Eb. This instrument may well be from the first batch of Sopranos which had a range to high F.
This soprano plays nicely and is ready for the stage or to show off in your studio using one of our new sax display stands!
